Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping, mowing, and beautification of parks, greenways, and public grounds.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain athletic fields, playgrounds, and recreational equipment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and operational condition of public restrooms and facilities.
- Operate heavy machinery, including tractors, mowers, and utility vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of community events and recreational programs.
- Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests from the public.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for tools, supplies, and equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Virginia Class C Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping practices, tool operation, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to public service.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
