Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaping across the city.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including mowers, tractors, and trimmers.
- Perform basic landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, weeding, and planting.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of park facilities and restroom facilities.
- Respond to public inquiries and ensure a welcoming environment for residents.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while performing duties.
- Clear snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots during winter months.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Nebraska Class C Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment is preferred.
