Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities including playgrounds, athletic courts, and irrigation systems
- Plan and execute community events, festivals, and youth programs
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure ADA compliance across recreational areas
- Assist in landscape management, tree care, and habitat restoration projects
- Train and supervise seasonal staff and volunteers during peak operations
- Manage facility reservations and coordinate with community groups
- Respond to public inquiries with exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years park maintenance or recreation experience
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Knowledge of California water conservation practices and sustainable landscaping
- Ability to operate power tools and light machinery safely
- Strong organizational skills for event planning and scheduling
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
