Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, facilities, and equipment to safety and aesthetic standards
- Assist in planning and executing community events, festivals, and recreational programs
- Monitor park areas to ensure visitor safety and compliance with regulations
- Perform light maintenance tasks including trash removal, landscaping, and equipment checks
- Interact positively with park visitors, providing information and assistance
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately
- Collaborate with full-time staff on seasonal projects and initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 6 months experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse community members
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures
