Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain park facilities, playgrounds, sports courts, and recreational equipment
- Assist in organizing community events, sports leagues, and educational programs
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, and irrigation management
- Conduct safety inspections and report maintenance needs or hazards promptly
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and address inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with team members on park improvement projects and seasonal preparations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in recreation management preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in grounds maintenance or recreational facility operations
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Certification in CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication skills and commitment to public service values
- Basic knowledge of horticultural practices or landscape maintenance
