Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of park grounds, including landscaping, irrigation systems, and facility upkeep
- Operate and maintain recreational equipment (e.g., playgrounds, sports courts, beach amenities)
- Lead community events, youth programs, and cultural workshops
- Enforce park safety regulations and provide visitor assistance
- Collaborate with volunteer groups for community beautification projects
- Conduct routine inspections and report facility maintenance needs
- Support emergency response during natural disasters or incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in Recreation, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in park maintenance, event coordination, or customer service
- Certification in First Aid/CPR and lifeguarding (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Valid Hawaii driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in tropical conditions, and operate power tools
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English and basic Hawaiian/Pidgin
- Pass background check and drug screening
