Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including landscaping, playground equipment, and athletic facilities
- Operate recreational facilities (pools, sports courts, picnic areas) and ensure safety compliance
- Assist with event setup, staffing, and breakdown for community festivals and programs
- Perform routine inspections and report maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Support seasonal cleanup operations including litter removal and storm debris management
- Collaborate with team members on daily operational tasks and special projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years old with valid NC driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance tools and equipment
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
