Responsibilities
- Perform routine landscaping duties, including mowing, edging, trimming, and general grounds maintenance.
- Clean and sanitize park restrooms, picnic areas, and playground equipment to ensure high hygiene standards.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational programs, sports games, and community events.
- Monitor park facilities for safety hazards, vandalism, or maintenance issues and report them promptly.
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
- Maintain and repair park furniture, fences, and structures using basic hand and power tools.
- Operate light maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers and trimmers, safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, custodial services, or public facilities maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid California Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
