Responsibilities
- Maintain and clean park facilities, restrooms, and recreational areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Perform groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, raking, trimming, and planting flowers and trees.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of recreational equipment for sports leagues, festivals, and community events.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of playgrounds and facilities to identify and report potential hazards.
- Monitor park areas to ensure compliance with rules and regulations, enforcing quiet hours and pet policies when necessary.
- Interact positively with park visitors, answering questions, providing directions, and assisting with general inquiries.
- Operate and maintain landscaping tools and basic maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, custodial work, or public service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical labor including bending, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driverβs License with a good driving record required.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and safety procedures.
- Strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
