Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume incoming calls and route inquiries to the appropriate departments efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain accurate departmental records, files, and databases using government software.
- Assist with the coordination of city meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute taking.
- Process and review incoming documents, ensuring all compliance and data entry standards are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens and staff, addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, and mailing correspondence.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government-specific databases.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse population.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for government employment.
