Responsibilities
- Assist in the processing of incoming mail, documents, and public inquiries with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage and update electronic databases and physical records for various city departments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, visitors, and staff via phone and in-person.
- Prepare and distribute departmental reports, memos, and correspondence.
- Support special projects and events as assigned by department heads.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment.
- Perform data entry and basic research as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional coursework in business administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or clerical role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of local government procedures and public service standards is a plus.
- Reliable transportation is required.
