Responsibilities
- Manage Communications: Receive, screen, and distribute incoming mail and electronic correspondence efficiently.
- Maintain Records: Organize and maintain accurate, confidential filing systems for departmental documents.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors and provide general information to staff and the public in a professional manner.
- Administrative Support: Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and coordinate travel arrangements for federal staff.
- Data Entry: Update internal databases and assist in the preparation of routine reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Experience: At least one year of clerical, office support, or administrative experience is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn VA-specific software quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Reliability: Ability to work a part-time schedule with punctuality and consistent attendance.
