Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door and community center outreach to inform residents about local health programs and resources.
- Assist in the planning and execution of public health workshops, seminars, and town hall meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of community interactions and program participation using internal databases.
- Translate complex health information into accessible, plain language for diverse populations.
- Collaborate with city departments and non-profit partners to coordinate community service events.
- Monitor social media channels and local community boards for emerging public health concerns.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in community outreach, customer service, or government administration.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic data entry skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.
- Valid California Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for fieldwork.
