Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door outreach in designated neighborhoods to promote city programs and services
- Organize and facilitate community meetings and public information sessions
- Assist with multilingual translation services for non-English speaking residents
- Collect and document community feedback through surveys and interviews
- Distribute informational materials at public events and community centers
- Collaborate with city departments to identify resident needs
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and resident interactions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- 1+ years experience in community outreach, customer service, or public relations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English; Spanish or Vietnamese fluency highly desirable
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and data collection tools
- Pass background check and drug screening
