Responsibilities
- Coordinate community events and town halls to connect residents with city services
- Develop multilingual outreach materials for diverse Oakland neighborhoods
- Collect and document resident feedback through surveys and direct engagement
- Collaborate with city departments to address community concerns
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and resident interactions
- Support civic engagement initiatives including voter registration drives
- Assist in translating complex city policies into accessible information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years of community outreach or customer service experience
- Fluency in English and Spanish (other languages valued)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for community events
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass background check and fingerprinting requirements
