Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate federal retirement claims with 99% accuracy
- Conduct eligibility verification for disability and survivor benefits
- Maintain secure digital case files in federal systems (e.g., eDIB)
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone and in-person appointments
- Collaborate with medical professionals for complex case reviews
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for quarterly audits
- Train new part-time staff on SSA protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or 60+ college credits in Business/Public Administration
- 2+ years claims processing experience (government preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and federal databases
- US citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- Strong knowledge of SSA regulations (Blue Book)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- FBI-approved security clearance (or obtainable within 90 days)
