Responsibilities
- Process and maintain veteran medical records in compliance with federal privacy regulations (HIPAA/VA guidelines)
- Manage correspondence and communications with veterans, families, and healthcare providers
- Support benefits enrollment assistance and eligibility verification processes
- Coordinate scheduling for medical appointments and administrative meetings
- Utilize VA-specific databases for data entry and record management
- Assist with quality assurance audits and documentation reviews
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams on administrative projects
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (federal mandate)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year administrative/clerical experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems
- Ability to pass federal background investigation and fingerprinting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with ability to handle sensitive information
- Basic knowledge of veterans' benefits systems preferred
