Responsibilities
- Analyze federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify security trends and operational inefficiencies
- Create interactive dashboards in Tableau/Power BI for stakeholder reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, FISMA)
- Collaborate with DHS field offices to validate data accuracy
- Develop automated reporting pipelines for real-time monitoring
- Present findings to senior leadership with data-driven recommendations
- Maintain documentation of analytical methodologies and data sources
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years experience with federal datasets and compliance protocols
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and visualization tools
- Familiarity with DHS systems (SEVIS, TEA, VEVO) highly desirable
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling and hypothesis testing
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Excellent written communication for technical/non-technical audiences
