What You Will Do:
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of federal datasets through rigorous cleaning and validation processes.
- Perform statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, correlations, and anomalies within large-scale data sets.
- Develop comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders and federal agency leadership.
- Maintain strict adherence to federal compliance standards, data privacy regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST), and security protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data findings into clear, strategic recommendations.
- Document data workflows and methodologies to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Responsibilities
- Collect, scrub, and organize raw data from various federal sources.
- Utilize SQL and Python to query databases and automate data extraction tasks.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to identify and rectify data errors.
- Present findings to non-technical audiences through executive summaries and visual presentations.
- Stay updated on the latest federal data governance policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong preference for experience in the federal or government sector.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), or R for data manipulation.
- Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Strong understanding of federal reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
