Responsibilities
- Monitor federal network systems for security threats and vulnerabilities 24/7.
- Conduct regular security audits and compliance checks in accordance with federal regulations (FISMA/NIST).
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents and breaches promptly.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Document security protocols, incident reports, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall IT infrastructure resilience.
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff regarding security best practices.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity or Information Technology.
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Familiarity with federal IT standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
