Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure and hardware systems within federal environments.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits to ensure compliance with strict federal regulations (FISMA).
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal staff regarding cybersecurity best practices.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary patches and updates to maintain operational continuity.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate inventory logs for federal assets.
- Assist in the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Current or ability to obtain an Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience with network administration (Cisco, Juniper) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and federal compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment with occasional on-site requirements.
