Responsibilities
- Organize, scan, and digitize veteran medical records according to federal protocols
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and VA record-keeping standards
- Process requests for medical documentation from veterans and authorized personnel
- Perform quality assurance checks on scanned documents and metadata
- Utilize VA's electronic health record system (VistA) for data entry
- Collaborate with health care teams to ensure record accuracy and accessibility
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year records management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document scanning software
- Ability to obtain and maintain federal background clearance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
- U.S. citizenship required
