Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Federal Records Clerk to support our growing government contracting division in Long Beach, CA. This is a vital role within a secure facility, requiring a professional who can handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion. The ideal candidate will help maintain the integrity of federal archives and assist in administrative operations that support state and local initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Manage and classify incoming and outgoing federal correspondence and documents according to established retention schedules.
- Perform high-volume scanning, digitization, and indexing of physical records into secure, cloud-based databases.
- Assist in the preparation and fulfillment of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
- Conduct regular audits of file systems to ensure compliance with federal and state archival standards.
- Collaborate with regional offices, including those in Georgia, to facilitate inter-agency document transfers.
- Maintain a secure, clean, and organized workspace adhering to safety and security protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Records Management, Library Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a government, legal, or corporate records environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and document management systems.
- Strong typing speed (minimum 45 WPM) and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
