Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume incoming inquiries via phone, email, and in-person requests.
- Process and retrieve public records requests efficiently and accurately according to state and city guidelines.
- Maintain and organize both physical and digital filing systems to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in data entry tasks using specialized government databases and record-keeping software.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for constituents and department staff.
- Prepare meeting packets, correspondence, and reports on behalf of supervisors.
- Assist in the orientation of new temporary staff and volunteers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail in sensitive information.
- Previous experience in administrative support, customer service, or a government setting is a plus.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends if required.
