Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Develop persuasive grant proposals and applications aligned with funder priorities and organizational goals
- Collaborate with program staff to gather compelling project data and impact metrics
- Manage grant submission timelines and ensure adherence to all requirements and deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications, reporting, and funding outcomes
- Build and nurture relationships with current and potential funders
- Prepare interim and final grant reports demonstrating program impact and fiscal responsibility
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, English) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of proven grant writing success with $100K+ secured annually
- Portfolio demonstrating successful grant applications for nonprofit organizations
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Deep knowledge of Miami-Dade County funding landscape and local nonprofits
- Proficiency with grant databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation) and CRM systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
