Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Write, edit, and polish persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
- Develop compelling program narratives and budgets aligned with funder priorities
- Manage grant application timelines and ensure compliance with submission requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with program staff to gather necessary information
- Analyze grant outcomes and prepare impact reports for funders
- Stay current on funding trends and regulatory changes in philanthropy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Communications, Nonprofit Management, etc.)
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with proven success rate
- Portfolio showcasing 5+ successfully funded grant proposals
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex programs into clear narratives
- Strong research skills and knowledge of funding landscape for Pacific Northwest nonprofits
- Proficiency with grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Salesforce NPSP)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote-friendly environment
