Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, private, and corporate sources
- Develop persuasive grant proposals and applications with 95%+ success rate
- Manage relationships with 50+ funding partners and steward existing grants
- Prepare program budgets, financial narratives, and compliance reports
- Maintain accurate grant tracking database and reporting systems
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices and compliance
- Collaborate with program teams to align funding requests with organizational goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or related field
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $5M+ secured
- Proven track record with federal/state grants and private foundations
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with portfolio of successful proposals
- Advanced knowledge of non-profit financial management and compliance
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Little Green Light)
- Certificate in Grant Writing (preferred)
- Demonstrated commitment to St. Louis community development
