Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Manage and maintain a helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of user requests.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of end-user workstations and mobile devices.
- Document technical procedures, issues, and resolutions in the internal knowledge base.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and network administrators to identify and resolve recurring technical issues.
- Conduct basic security awareness training for state employees regarding phishing and password hygiene.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or customer service roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
