Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks and applications.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis and recovery from security breaches.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security controls into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Provide expert technical guidance on network architecture and risk management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH preferred.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or information assurance.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Linux/Windows administration.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, encryption, and secure coding practices.
