Responsibilities
- Manage and secure the city's network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and implement robust security protocols to mitigate risks.
- Lead technical teams in deploying new software solutions and managing legacy systems.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex hardware and software issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT systems and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or AWS Solutions Architect are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration and cybersecurity within a government or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
