Responsibilities
- Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support via helpdesk ticketing systems for government employees.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot hardware (laptops, printers, mobile devices) and software applications.
- Ensure strict adherence to Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance and security protocols.
- Monitor system performance and respond to alerts regarding server health and network availability.
- Assist in the management of Active Directory user accounts and permissions.
- Document all technical issues, resolutions, and procedures in the Knowledge Base.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve complex technical escalations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical customer service.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a suitable background clearance (depending on specific project requirements).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote or hybrid office setting.
