Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support via phone, email, and in-person for VDOT staff.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including printers, laptops, and network connectivity.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop applications and operating systems.
- Manage and maintain the IT asset inventory, including tracking hardware and software licenses.
- Respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner and maintain accurate documentation of all support interactions.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technology solutions and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office Suite applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and basic network troubleshooting concepts.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
