Responsibilities
- Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support to district employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues remotely and on-site.
- Manage and maintain computer workstations, ensuring all systems are updated, secure, and fully operational.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software licenses across various government agencies.
- Monitor network performance and respond to alerts to ensure minimal downtime for critical government services.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system to improve internal processes.
- Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure compliance with federal and district data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related technical role.
- Familiarity with government IT standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, DC IT policies).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
