Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and implement enterprise-level system architectures that align with DC government standards and industry best practices.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all systems adhere to federal, state, and local security regulations, including NIST and DC cybersecurity mandates.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with government agencies and private sector vendors to define technical requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system health, analyze performance metrics, and proactively troubleshoot complex technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Team Mentorship: Guide junior developers and architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Masterâs preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in systems architecture, software engineering, or IT infrastructure management.
- Certifications: Active PMP, TOGAF, or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and large-scale database management.
- Government Experience: Prior experience working within a public sector or government environment is strongly preferred.
