Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of IT projects ranging from $1M to $10M in value.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure deliverables meet business requirements.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and technical constraints early in the lifecycle.
- Communicate project status, issues, and updates to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with state procurement policies, IT governance standards, and security protocols.
- Mentor junior project managers and drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or large enterprise.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing full software development life cycles (SDLC) using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, and other PM tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
