Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to library patrons at service desks and via phone/email
- Assist patrons with library catalog searches, digital resources, and checkout processes
- Process library materials including circulation, returns, and shelving
- Support program preparation and execution for community events
- Maintain accurate records and assist with basic inventory management
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive library environment for all community members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferred
- Previous customer service experience in a public or retail setting
- Basic computer proficiency with experience using library systems or similar software
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Valid Minnesota driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings and weekends on a rotating schedule
