Responsibilities
- Perform general park maintenance, including litter collection, trash removal, and graffiti abatement.
- Maintain athletic fields, playgrounds, and landscaping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of recreational equipment and supplies for community events and sports leagues.
- Monitor park facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Interact with park visitors, providing directions, information, and excellent customer service.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or suspicious activities to supervisors promptly.
- Assist in the preparation and lighting of park facilities for evening programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of lawn care tools and equipment is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
