Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including mowing, trimming, litter removal, and irrigation checks
- Set up/break down equipment for community events, sports leagues, and festivals
- Inspect facilities (playgrounds, trails, sports courts) and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors and program participants
- Assist with seasonal projects including tree planting, trail maintenance, and habitat restoration
- Enforce park rules and safety protocols to ensure positive visitor experiences
- Collaborate with full-time staff on special events like concerts and farmers markets
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of groundskeeping tools and equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not certified)
