Responsibilities
- Maintain Park Facilities: Regularly clean and inspect park grounds, restrooms, and equipment to ensure a welcoming environment for visitors.
- Event Support: Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Facility Maintenance: Perform minor repairs, painting, and landscaping tasks to preserve the physical infrastructure of the parks.
- Public Interaction: Greet visitors, answer questions, and provide information about park amenities and programs in a professional and friendly manner.
- Safety Compliance: Monitor park areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and address any hazards or concerns immediately.
- Trash Management: Empty trash receptacles, manage recycling, and keep pathways clear of debris.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in custodial work, landscaping, or customer service is a plus but not mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform moderate physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact positively with diverse members of the community.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Valid License: A valid driver's license is preferred.
