Key Duties:
- Maintain and clean park facilities, restrooms, playgrounds, and pavilions to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety.
- Perform landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, raking, and planting flowers and shrubs.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Monitor park grounds to ensure compliance with rules and regulations; enforce safety measures.
- Report maintenance needs, safety hazards, and vandalism to supervisors immediately.
- Operate and maintain light power equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, facility maintenance, or janitorial practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public and other city employees.
- Reliable transportation is preferred.
