Responsibilities
- Monitor park safety, enforce regulations, and provide emergency response during weekend operations
- Lead interpretive programs, guided tours, and educational workshops for weekend visitors
- Conduct routine facility inspections, maintenance checks, and wildlife conservation patrols
- Manage visitor interactions, resolve conflicts, and provide exceptional customer service
- Collaborate with law enforcement during weekend events and high-traffic periods
- Document incidents, maintain accurate records, and submit comprehensive reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in natural sciences preferred
- Texas Peace Officer License (TCLEOSE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 2 years experience in park management, conservation, or public safety
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR certification and wilderness rescue training
- Excellent communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Proficiency in GIS mapping, patrol reporting systems, and Microsoft Office
