Responsibilities
- Process and review pension applications and benefit requests for federal retirees with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct research to resolve complex pension inquiries and discrepancies in service records.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations, ERISA guidelines, and agency policies.
- Manage confidential personnel and financial data using secure databases and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with HR teams and external actuaries to maintain accurate plan documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees regarding retirement eligibility and fund distribution.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration or federal benefits processing.
- Thorough knowledge of ERISA, FERS, and other federal retirement systems.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government case management software.
