Responsibilities
- Process and verify pension enrollment applications for government employees
- Maintain accurate participant records in pension management systems
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding retirement benefits and eligibility
- Ensure compliance with federal/state pension regulations and city policies
- Prepare monthly pension contribution reports for payroll processing
- Collaborate with HR departments on employee benefit transitions
- Conduct annual pension plan audits with internal audit team
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of benefits administration or pension plan experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)
- Knowledge of ERISA and pension compliance regulations
- Strong attention to detail with data management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Valid Texas driver's license (if occasional travel required)
