Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using radio/telephone protocols
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Operate NCIC/NCIC systems for background checks and warrant verification
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid NC driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer literacy and typing proficiency (35+ WPM)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong multitasking ability under pressure
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
