Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on traffic patterns, infrastructure development, and state transportation regulations.
- Analyze legislative proposals and prepare comprehensive policy briefs for state oversight committees.
- Assist in the organization and facilitation of stakeholder meetings and public hearings.
- Update and maintain accurate records of departmental compliance documents and grant reports.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to identify gaps in state services and propose solutions.
- Provide administrative support to senior state officials, including scheduling and correspondence.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a government or administrative setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with government data management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain a state security clearance.
- Must be available to work a part-time schedule, typically 15-20 hours per week.
