Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city infrastructure including sidewalks, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, pressure washers) and hand tools for cleanup projects
- Assist in debris removal, landscaping, and park beautification initiatives
- Support storm preparation and recovery efforts during inclement weather
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work zones
- Document work activities and report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards
- Collaborate with crew members to efficiently complete daily assignments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety equipment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and early mornings
- Strong teamwork ethic and reliable punctuality
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or municipal operations preferred
