Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, debris removal, and material transport
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, pressure washers) under supervision
- Maintain sidewalks, streets, and public spaces through cleaning and minor repairs
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and proper equipment handling procedures
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system maintenance
- Support park beautification projects including landscaping and facility upkeep
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Valid Tennessee driver's license preferred (not required for application)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety protocols
- Reliable transportation to work sites across Memphis
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Experience with hand/power tools beneficial but not required
- Availability for flexible shifts including weekends
