Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage clearing, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power washers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist in landscaping projects including tree planting, mulching, and irrigation maintenance
- Support storm response teams during weather emergencies
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA standards
- Complete daily work logs and incident reports accurately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions (heat, humidity, occasional rain)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and safety protocols
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
