Responsibilities
- Perform snow and ice control operations on sidewalks, parking lots, and streets during winter months.
- Operate and maintain street sweeping equipment to ensure roadway cleanliness.
- Assist with mowing, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance of public parks and rights-of-way.
- Remove graffiti, litter, and debris from public facilities and infrastructure.
- Perform basic traffic control duties, including flagging and signing during construction or maintenance projects.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment for crews as directed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while performing manual labor tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid driverβs license (Class D) with a good driving record is required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual labor for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction equipment is a plus.
- Strong commitment to public service and safety.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
