Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks such as excavation, grading, and landscaping for public infrastructure projects
- Operate hand/power tools and light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater drainage system maintenance and repair operations
- Participate in street sweeping, pothole patching, and traffic sign installation
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA safety standards
- Support emergency response efforts during weather-related events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Preferred experience in landscaping, construction, or municipal maintenance
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong teamwork skills with ability to follow verbal instructions
